This object produces a paradoxical relationship between its form and function. The function, storage, provides a place for possessions to come to rest. The steps, however, imply ascension or movement. One is compelled to climb on and up. Additionally, the saw-tooth form visually evokes the protective spines of a dinosaur. This object is poised like our prehistoric predecessors for passage across the face of the earth.
